Have you recently graduated and ready to take the lead in driving innovation and performance in a dynamic production environment? As Process Engineer for our plants in Geleen and Beringen, you'll play a key role in optimizing and developing our operations. Acting as the technical specialist, you'll work to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality, while ensuring technical and economic excellence. Supported by experienced colleagues, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on plant performance and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will drive performance improvements in the polyolefin plant by challenging existing processes and identifying optimization opportunities. You will contribute to technical projects, either by leading smaller initiatives or supporting larger ones through studies, business cases, and plant trials. As a problem-solver, you’ll support troubleshooting activities to enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality in close collaboration with senior engineers. You will work cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and Quality Control, building strong networks and a holistic view of plant operations. Additionally, you’ll foster a culture of learning by sharing knowledge, engaging in technical networks, and developing your skills. Finally, you will actively contribute to environmental and energy initiatives, supporting the plant’s sustainability goals.

About you

What would you bring to the table?

• A master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Bio-engineering, Process Technology, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Fluency in English for professional communication, and a really profound working knowledge of Dutch is prerequisite for effective collaboration on site.
• Ideally, some hands-on experience (up to 1–2 years) in process engineering, polymer manufacturing, or plant operations—but strong potential and eagerness to learn are just as important.
• A collaborative mindset – you're a team player who communicates clearly, enjoys presenting ideas, and is open to connecting with colleagues across different departments.
• A solution-oriented way of thinking – you're analytical, safety-conscious, and driven to turn ideas into real improvements.
• You are flexible and willing to work from both of our locations (Geleen/Beringen) depending on where your contribution is most needed for ongoing projects.
