Dinner in Maastricht 2026

As the new academic year begins, the board of Japie also begins a new chapter! Come celebrate the change of boards, on Thursday the 3rd of September, together with the 69th board and travel to Maastricht to lay a wreath at the statue of Jan Pieter Minckelers! After this, we will continue the celebration with a wonderful three-course dinner at restaurant Café Charlemagne. The options for each course can be found listed below. Vegetarian options are marked with a “(V)”.
Starter (served with bread and butter):
· Beef carpaccio with truffle mayonnaise, sundried tomato, Parmesan cheese, rocket and capers
· Small Goat's cheese salad; mixed greens with a creamy goat's cheese, red beetroot relish, walnuts, a mixture of seed and nuts (V)
· Small fish salade; mixed greens with smoked salmon and homemade tuna salad, radish, egg, kapers and lemon mayonnaise
Main course:
· Beef steak; cooked medium, served with warm vegetables, chips and herb butter
· Pansotti with ricotta and spinach; served with rocket and Parmesan cheese (V)
· Fish & Chips; traditionally batted cod fillet served with a green salad and chips
Dessert:
· Chocolate Brownie; served with whipped cream and seasonal fruit (V)
· Crème Brûlée; a cold and creamy vanilla custard with a caramellised sugar topping (V)
Included in the price is the three-course dinner, as well as all travel expenses which you can later declare in the Japie room.
