Explore the Heart of Dutch Industry at Shell Pernis
Discover one of Europe’s most impressive industrial sites up close. Shell Pernis spans the area of 800 football fields while containing more than 160,000 km of piping (enough to circle the Earth four times). It is the largest refinery in Europe where everyday, we process over 6 million litres of crude oil, supplying the energy the world relies on today while actively shaping the energy systems of tomorrow.
This visit offers a unique opportunity to experience the scale, complexity, and innovation behind modern refining and engineering. A full-day program is arranged on-site, including bus transportation to and from Eindhoven.

- Welcome by Shell Pernis senior leadership
- Technical deep-dive: refining and engineering
- “A Week in the Life” of Shell graduates
- Lunch and networking session
- Guided bus tour over site, with control room visit
- Energy Transition Game
- Closing drinks
We will depart from Eindhoven at 8:00 and return back at the TU/e campus by 18:30.
