Buenas, olá, and hello Japies! In the summer of 2026 Japie will take an unforgettable trip through some of the Latino Countries: Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay! This trip will have something for everyone! Some of the places we will get to visit some are the top universities and chemical industries in South America. These countries have very strong universities, as well as large and innovative chemical industries, thus every excursion promises to be interesting.
But that’s not all! A number of cultural actives will be arranged along the tour, allowing you to see each countries’ history as well as experience what it is like today. There will be enough downtime so that you and your fellow participants can explore the city and country on your own terms.
More than just the plane tickets and activities are included with the Study Tour. Accommodation for every night, inter and intra city transport are also included, as well as pocket money every day of local currency earmarked for food. Note that you will be signing up to become a reserve participant for the STC 2026. This means that you will not immediately be able to join the trip, but if it happens that someone else has to drop out, you may be asked to replace them. As a reserve participant you are expected to join the preparatory activities, so that you are bonded to the group in case you get to join. You are required to sign a reserve participant contract in order to join.
As a reserve participant, you are not expected to complete a study case, initially. If you replace someone who has not yet finished their study case, or hasn’t started theirs yet, then you are required to complete it. This will be elaborated upon in the contract.
Additionally, the Study Tour Committee will also host several activities in preparation for the trip. The first one is a “get to know each other” activity, where you will meet and greet your fellow participants. Up next there are two more activities aimed at getting you more comfortable with the participants and professors you will be traveling with. One of these activities is a whole weekend away full with fun and games. Finally, we will make a trip to a company in the Netherlands, before leaving for our study tour.

Please Note: In order to join this activity, you must have completed the propaedeutic phase of your study at the moment of subscription. Dates and details are subject to change. However, we will leave after the exams and come back before the resets for no more than 29 days.
For more details, feel free to contact the STC or come by the Japie room. Once the subscription deadline has passed, the Study Tour Committee 2026 together with the board of Japie will hold a draw in order to determine the order of the reserve participants.
