Ho Ho Ho and hello, hungry Japies!

On December 16^th the Chefcie will once again be preparing…., you guessed it, our annual Christmas dinner! Hopefully, you are reading this while in a merry mood, because the Chefcie is cooking up a delicious dinner!

We are opening up our dinner with a delicious Christmas treat from Eastern Europe, the banitsa! If this looks mistyped to you, just imagine crispy and chewy layers of filo pastry filled with salty white cheese and baked until golden brown and delicious. Then we depart to Scotland for a cozy and comforting cottage pie, topped with a thick gravy, because we know exactly what is on your wishing list. To finish the night, we have thought of a recipe for all enjoyers of simple but effective dessert – arroz con leche. To jump over the language barrier for a second time, it is the old time grandma favorite – rice and milk pudding - sweet, cinnamony and creamy.

With that said, we have taken our sled all across Europe to find recipes for you, and we are whole heartedly wishing to see you make the much shorter trip to joining us for a meal!
