Committees

ACTcIE

The Activity-Committee consist of a group enthousiastic people who organise several activities for all Japiemembers. The Activity-Committee consists of Thijs de Hoon, Tom Hoeben, Hent Schouwenaars and Gerben van Straaten.

 

BuMaCie

BuMaCie stands for 'Buitenlandse Master Commissie' and means 'Foreign Master Committee'. To involve the foreign master students into the Japie-community, the life as a student in Eindhoven and to increase the affinity between Dutch students and foreign masterstudents, a foreign mastercommittee was founded. They organise activities for both foreign and dutch students. For the moment, the committee consists of Ela Sonmezler, Tim Aelmans and Karel Wilsens. Currently, the board is looking for people that are interested. If you are interested, come and see the board at the big Japieroom (STW 2.43).

 

Codex Committee

To take care of a the contents of a nice cantus, an evening with a lot of beers and songs, Japie has a CodexCommittee, abbreviated as CodiCie, who writes and reviews Japie's Codex. Currently, the CodiCie consists of Rik Mestrom, Eric Thijs and Marjolein de Raat.

 

Committee Wervingsdagen

The 'wervingsdagen'(recruitment-days) are organised collectively by the study-associations on the TU/e. During the 'wervingsdagen'(recruitment-days) lots of company's have stands with information about their company. You also have the opportunity to follow an application practice and to have personal appointments with some companies. On behalf of Japie Ferdinand Verboom is a member of the Committee Wervingsdagen 2009/2010.

 

Firsyear Committee

The Firsyear Committee consists of first-year Bachelor students who organise activities for all other firstyear students. Therefore, their activities are all in Dutch. The committee consists of Rhea van Gijzel, Mike van Gils, Ruden Grim and Stefan van Uden.

 

F.O.R.T.-committee

FORT logoThe F.O.R.T.-cie is the committee which rules over the F.O.R.T. (Faculty EncounterRoom T). Every thursday at 4:00 p.m. you can have a nice drink with your friends in the F.O.R.T. Other activities are often also in the F.O.R.T. The F.O.R.T.-committee '09-'10 consists of Nicky Oppers, Denise Slenter and Frank van Wijk.

 

Financial committee

The financial committee supervises the accounting and the budgets of the Board and her committees. They  also advise the Board and the G.M. about financial questions. The financial committee consists of Jan Willem Oortwijn, Sander Halin, Vincent van Duijnhoven and Ferdinand Verboom

 

Barkeep committee

To make sure that every beer will be served perfectly, a Barkeep committee exist. Every thursday three of them will do their best to serve you. The Barkeep committee consists of Bas Hermans, Christopher Gits,  Gert-Jan van Heugten, Ivo Filot, Jan-Jaap Riegman, Jeroen Ramakers, Kirill Lomonov, Mark Pepels, Niek van Heijningen, Rik Nijhuis, Rik Mestrom, Vincent van Duijnhoven and Nicky Hoek.

 

Intro committee

The introductionweek is for all freshmen in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, so also for the new foreign master students. The ST-introductionweek is organised by the Japie Intro Committee. They also confer with the coordinating intro committee of the TU/e to make the introductionweek an unforgettable event. The Intro Committee 2009 consisted of Hent Schouwenaars, Robin Verijke and Robin Willems.

 

J.A.P.I.E.-committee

The J.A.P.I.E. committee (Japie Automation Program Internet and Electronics" takes care of the Japie computers and all other programmable and electronical things. The J.A.P.I.E.-Committee consists of Harm van Eersel, Harro van der Heijden, Tom Hoeben, Thomas Vranken and Roel Sadza.

 

O.S.T.S. committee

OSTSThis committee organises the consultations of all four Chemical Engineering Associations in the Netherlands: Alembic (Twente), Bernoulli (Groningen) Japie (Eindhoven) and TG (Delft). On behalf of Japie Nicky Hoek and Jeroen van den Reijen are members of the O.S.T.S. committee.

 

ONCS committee 2010

ONCSEver since 1988 the ONCS (Dutch Open Chemistry Sportsdays) are organised by various study associations of chemistry or chemical engineering form all over the Netherlands. In 2010 Japie will again make it a point of honour to organise the ONCS in Eindhoven. The ONCS Committee 2010 consists of Sabrina van Oerle, Stéphanie Bex, Nicky Hoek, Jeroen van den Reijen, Jan Willem Oortwijn and Luuk Fluitsma.
 

Advisory Counsil

The advisory counsil concist of members who have been active for Japie or other associations. They have acquired knowledge in the past which will be useful in advising the Board or other committees of Japie about al kind of things. The advisory council consists of Tim van Acker, Thijs Duisters, Rick Maas, Jeroen Ramakers, Ilse Hendriks and Jaap Hoekstra.

 

T-Licht Editors

The T-Licht is the association magazine. The editors make a neat and faultless magazine from all the different contributions. In every 'T-Licht' also some English articles are published. The 'T-Light' gives in one page an overview of what has happened at Japie and in the field of education. The editors are Bas Hermans, Sven van Belzen, Thijs Duisters, Chris Gits, Paula Geers, Willeke van Hout, Ilse Hendriks en Nicky Hoek. The editor in chief is Evert Cornelissen.

 

SQuiz committee

In order to make the SQuiz possible the SQuiz committee was established. SQuiz is a Dutch initiative to give secondary school students an insight in education at university level.

 

Studytour committee 2010

Every two years, Japie organises a studytour to another part of the world. In 2010, 25 Japie people will visit Indonesia and Hong Kong. The committee that organises this trip consists of Mirjam Dias, Remco van Bennekom, Tom van Hunsel, Peter Jobse, Boris Peltenburg and Yoran Zonneveld. Symposium committee

The next Japie-symposium will be organised near the end of 2010. To do this, a symposium committee has been looked for. The candidate symposium committee consists of Denise Slenter, Thijs van Erdewijk, Gerben van Straaten and Poul Heikoop.

 

V.O.C.

The V.O.C. (Shorted Study Committee) was founded especially for members who have done a Higher Vocational Education(VKO in dutch) study. The V.O.C. organizes activities for and by VKO's and keeps an eye on the education concerning the shortened study. The V.O.C. consists of Janneke Lijbers, Dirk-Jan Mulder and Bogdan Hoofwijk.
